Privacy policy

Novo Real Estate Media is a photography business based in Geneva, Illinois. This page says exactly what happens to information you give this website. It is short because the site does very little: there is no advertising, nothing is ever sold or shared for marketing, and the only measurement is Google Analytics counting which pages get read.
What this site collects
Only what you type, and only when you choose to send it.

Browsing the site without using a form collects nothing beyond the analytics and the standard server request logs described below.
What this site does not do
- No advertising or profiling. No Meta pixel, no ad networks, no retargeting, no heatmaps and no session recording. Nothing you do here follows you around other websites.
- No selling or sharing. Your details are never sold, rented, traded or handed to anyone for marketing.
- No mailing list. Contacting us does not sign you up to anything. You will get a reply, not a newsletter. If you have a Novo Insider page, you may get the occasional email about a reward or a new level, and a reminder about referrals about once every three months after you have had a shoot with us. Turn either kind off in the email settings on your page (every one of these emails links to them). Booking confirmations and your page link always come through.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count which pages are read and which ones lead to a booking. That is the whole reason it is here — a page about Naperville is worth keeping if Naperville agents actually use it, and worth rewriting if they do not.
What it records:
- The pages you look at, when, and the site or search that sent you here.
- Your browser, device type and rough location — city level, worked out from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not store the IP address itself.
- A few specific actions: opening the booking calendar, starting a card payment, completing a booking, and sending the contact form. Bookings are recorded with the package and the amount, so it is possible to see which pages produce work.
It does not record your name, email, phone number, the property address, or anything else you type into a form. Those go to us by email and to Calendly and Stripe as described above — never into Analytics.
Cookies
Google Analytics is the only thing on this site that sets cookies of its own (named
_ga and _ga_…), to tell a returning visit from a new one.
There are no advertising cookies.
- The first time you visit, a small notice asks. “No thanks” turns Google Analytics off on that device and removes its cookies.
- If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, analytics is off automatically and you will not be asked.
- Browser tracking protection or Google’s opt-out add-on also stop it.
Nothing on this site breaks either way — the calculator, the booking and the forms all work exactly the same.
Pages that embed a video or a 3D tour load it from YouTube, Panoee or Matterport, which may set their own cookies while you use the player. See the services below.
Storage in your browser
A few things are saved on your own device, so the site remembers your choices. They are not cookies and are never sent to anyone:
- Your cookie choice, once you have made one.
- On a Novo Insider page, which person on the team you are, so you do not have to pick your name every time.
- On the booking calendar, the town you chose for the weather forecast and the forecast itself for an hour, until you close the tab.
- While you are paying a retainer, your booking details are held in the browser so the confirmation page can complete the booking when Stripe sends you back. It is deleted the moment the booking succeeds, and disappears when you close the tab regardless.
- On the photo-day checklist page, which items you have ticked, so the list survives a refresh.
Services this site relies on
A handful of third parties see some of your information because they perform part of the job. Each has its own privacy policy.

Novo Insider pages
A Novo Insider page has no password. Its link is the key: each page’s link ends in a private code, and anyone who has it can see the page. Keep it to yourself and your team. What the page shows:
- The names of the people on the team, how many listings the team and each person have booked with us, recent shoots (address, date, package, who booked), goals the team has set, and rewards waiting to be used.
- Never anyone’s email address or mobile number, and never a lockbox code or booking notes. Those stay on our side and are only used to book and contact you.
Anyone on the team can add or remove people. Only add colleagues who have agreed to it; every change is emailed to us. Bookings you make through your page, or with us directly by phone, text or our booking calendar, are matched to your page by your email address, so your level counts them. On a team page, the people on the team are ranked against each other by listings booked (the team can switch this off). Other clients never see your page, your name or your numbers.
Client surveys and testimonials
A survey answer is yours to give or skip, question by question. If we sent you a personal survey link, your answers are recorded with your name (and your team, if you are on one), so we know whose shoot they are about. If you write a sentence about working with us, we only quote it if you said we could, and only with the name you chose (full name or first name). Ask and a quote comes down, any time.
How long anything is kept
Booking records and enquiry emails are kept as ordinary business records — they are what a shoot is scheduled and invoiced from. Payment records are held by Stripe for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Photographs of your property are kept so they can be re-delivered or re-edited if you ask.
Survey answers are kept for as long as they are useful for improving the business. Novo Insider records are kept while the page is in use; if a team stops, its page is switched off and its booking history is kept as an ordinary business record.
Lockbox and access codes are only ever used to get into the property for your shoot. They are never stored with Novo Insider records. Ask and they will be removed from the booking record afterwards.
Information is kept with the services above, each of which protects it with its own security, and access to it is limited to the business.

- See what information is held about you
- Have something corrected
- Have your details deleted, apart from records that must be kept for tax or accounting
- Get a copy of your booking details
No account, no form, no waiting on a portal. Just ask and it will be dealt with.
Photographs of your property
Photographs taken on a paid shoot may be used in this portfolio and in marketing, because showing the work is how the business is found. If you would rather your property was not shown, say so — before or after the shoot — and it will not be. No reason needed and no effect on your price. Interiors of occupied homes are never published without the seller’s agreement.
Children
This site is for people arranging property photography and is not directed at children. No information is knowingly collected from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than quietly folded in.
