Terms of service

These are the terms for photography, video, drone, 3D tour and floor plan work booked from this site. They are written to match what the rest of the site already promises, in plainer words. Booking a shoot means agreeing to them.
Novo Real Estate Media is a photography business based in Geneva, Illinois, referred to below as “we”. The person or company booking is “you”.
Prices
The price the calculator shows is the price on the invoice. There is no “starting at”, no per-photo charge and no surprise at checkout.
Prices are built from what you enter — list price, square footage, property type and the options you pick. We verify those details before the shoot. If something genuinely differs, the price is corrected in either direction and confirmed with you before any work or charge. It is never adjusted after the fact.
Commercial, architectural, scan-to-CAD and floor-plan-only work is quoted rather than published, and the quote is what applies.
Booking, retainers and payment
- Basic Listing and Essentials take no payment at booking, except on your first shoot with us, which takes a $50 retainer.
- Premium takes a $150 retainer and Estate a $350 retainer to hold the date, because they block a large part of the day.
- The balance is due after the shoot and before your photographs are delivered.
A retainer is applied to your total, not charged on top of it.
Novo Insider: levels, rates and rewards
Anyone who books with us can join Novo Insider, on their own or with their team, and gets their own booking page. These terms apply on top of everything else on this page.
The Insider discount is a percentage off everything you book: the package, whichever one it is, and any add-ons. It is set by how many listings you (or your team) have already booked with us when you book:

- Every listing booked through your page counts, and so does a shoot booked with us by phone or text once we add it. A cancelled booking does not count.
- We may set a level for you by agreement (for example an annual contract). You keep at least that level until the date we agree, and still move up past it as you book.
- Retainers on an Insider page work as they do everywhere else on this site: a first shoot with us takes a retainer, and Premium and Estate take theirs. A team with a separate agreement with us may book without retainers.
- Your page opens from its link, with no password. Keep the link to yourself and your team. You are responsible for who your team adds to it.
Rewards we send to a team or a person are one-time: one per booking, for the person or team named, used up when that booking is made, and good until the date shown, if there is one. They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged or passed on. A free shoot covers the package price (add-ons are charged as normal); a free add-on covers one of it.
Referrals. Each person on a Novo Insider page has their own referral link. When an agent joins Novo Insider through it and completes their first shoot with us, the person who referred them gets $15 off one shoot, as a reward on their page, provided they have completed at least one shoot themselves (if not, it waits until they have). A whole team joining through one link counts as one referral: $15, or $50 if the team has 5 or more people on its page when its first shoot is done. Adding people to your own page is not a referral, you cannot refer yourself, and each person can have one page.
We may change the levels and rates or end Novo Insider. Any change is shown on your page first and never applies to a shoot that is already booked.
Gift cards
A Novo gift card carries one code, good for one booking, worth what is printed on it. Anyone can use one. One discount per booking: a gift card or a team reward, not both. A card has no cash value, cannot be exchanged or refunded, and expires on the date printed on it, if there is one. A free shoot covers the package price (add-ons are charged as normal); a free add-on covers one of it. A lost card cannot be replaced once its code has been used. We may cancel a code that was copied or obtained in a way it was not meant to be.
Your words
If you tell us in a client survey that we may share what you wrote, we may show it on this site and in our marketing, with the name you chose. Ask and it comes down.
Drone work
Aerial photography is flown under FAA Part 107 rules. Some locations cannot be flown legally — controlled airspace without authorisation, temporary restrictions, or an unsafe site. If we cannot fly a property, we tell you before the shoot and remove the aerial portion from the price rather than substituting something else.
Access, safety and the property
You confirm you have the right to have the property photographed and to grant the access arranged. We take reasonable care in every property, but we are not responsible for pre-existing damage, for items left out, or for anything a property owner has not secured. Anything we damage ourselves, we put right.
Liability
If something goes wrong with a shoot, our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid for that shoot — by redoing the work, or by refunding it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a listing going live later than planned or a property selling for less than hoped.
Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Illinois, and any dispute belongs in the courts of Kane County, Illinois.
Realistically: if something is wrong, call. Nothing on this page has ever needed a lawyer, and the guarantees above exist so it does not have to.
Changes
These terms may change. The version in force for your shoot is the one published when you booked, and the date at the top says when this one was written.
